Resisting Happiness

You are invited to join Women Enjoying Rediscovering Our Catholicism as we share, grow, and learn through connection and prayer to deepen our faith.

Thursdays beginning January 24 from 9-10 am in Room 1

BOOK STUDY: “Resisting Happiness by Matthew Kelly”
Every single moment is a chance to turn it all around.
Are you happy? It may be the wrong question. Most of us think we are relatively happy, while at the same time knowing that we could
be happier—maybe even a lot happier.
Are you overwhelmed? Do you procrastinate? Do you sometimes feel like you are your own worst enemy? Are you ignoring your
dreams? Have you lost the courage to truly be yourself? Do you feel that your life lacks meaning and purpose? Do you find yourself
avoiding the real issues in your life and focusing on the superficial?

Breaking through resistance, Kelly tells us, is essential to becoming the-best-version-of-ourselves and living with passion and purpose.
What is resistance? It’s that sluggish feeling of not wanting to do something that you know is good for you. It’s the inclination to do something that you unabashedly know is not good for you. It’s the desire and tendency to delay something you should be doing right now. It is resistance that stands between you and happiness. Join us as we learn not only what it is, but how to recognize and conquer it in our own lives.

National Catholic Youth Conference 2019

BLESSED ~ BROKEN ~ GIVEN
Please join us for an informational meeting in early February for youth who are interested in attending (or learning more about) the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 21-23, 2019. The NCYC is open to any youth in grades 9-12 as of September 2019 and chaperones over the age 21.
The NCYC is more than a weekend trip. It is an amazing opportunity to become more connected with a small group of other high school students through almost a year of activities in preparation for being a pilgrim. It is a chance to become connected to the wider Catholic community and to figure out how you can fit in this world. This is an amazing opportunity that you don’t want to miss! If you or your teen are interested in learning more about NCYC, please email Elizabeth and she will let you know the date and time of the meeting.
